Netzer Precision EncodersEncoders

Rotary and linear, absolute and incremental, analog and digital, standard and customized, Netzer’s world-wide patented rugged high performance Electric Encoder™ technology suits applications ranging from space and avionics, through defense and instrumentation to automotive.

Originally developed for, and restricted to, specialized defense applications, Netzer's Electric encoder™ technology has proven its many advantages in a diverse range of applications.

Netzer's non-contact, absolute-position, Electric encoder™ technology relies on interaction between measured displacement and an internally shielded, space/time modulated, electric field, and offers a features unsurpassed by traditional encoders (optical and magnetic), resolvers, or Inductosyns®.

Rotary Encoders

Our rotary Electric Encoders are tolerant to temperature extremes, EMI, RFI, magnetic fields, contamination, moisture, shock and vibrations. Their hollow, floating, rotor does not require bearings and is directly mountable on the host shaft.
The absence of ball bearings, glass disc, light sources and detectors, and low power consumption leave the Rotary Electric Encoder with virtually no failure mechanisms. It is, therefore, ideally suited to a wide range of applications, among them aerospace, military & defense, automotive, medical and robotic.

Linear Encoders

Netzer's linear Electric Encoder™, available in both absolute and incremental versions, is tolerant to contamination, condensation, magnetic fields, shock, vibration and temperature extremes. It provides micron resolution and is tolerant to air gap variations.

Custom Encoders

The simple structure of both the rotary and linear versions of Electric EncoderT lends itself to cost effective customization in terms of mechanical dimensions, resolution, accuracy, packaging, and power consumption.
